The purpose of The Giving Tree is simple: bring joy to kids and families in need during the holidays. Since 2012, the program has been expanded to include all of Park County. In 2022, 46 children and 23 families were supported and in 2023 we helped 63 children in rural Park County. Becoming an established 501c3 opened additional funding sources that allow us to help our rural county schools year-round. The financial disparity in Park County continues to grow and with that, housing costs increase dramatically. As more and more income is diverted to housing and basic needs, more and more children and families need our support throughout the year.
Our largest program matching kids and families in need with individual anonymous sponsors who purchase gifts from lists developed with parents and guardians.
Bring joy to a local child this holiday season by becoming a Giving Tree sponsor. When you sign up, we’ll match you with a child in Park County who shares your hobbies and interests—creating a personal and meaningful giving experience. While the children and families remain anonymous to protect their privacy, you’ll receive a custom wish list to help make their holiday bright. You can also let us know if you have a preferred age or gender. It’s a heartfelt way to connect, give back, and make a difference right here in our community.
Any time our rural teachers, nurses or administrators see a need that's gone unfulfilled, The Giving Tree of Park County can step in to help. Is a child showing up to school in sneakers that are too small, walking through slush on a cold winter day? Giving Tree can supply boots. Does a kid not show up on "Pajama Day" because they don't have pajamas? Giving Tree can help. You can too! Click “Donate Now”.
